Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Pyre and related services provided by OneNomad LLC, a North Carolina limited liability company ("OneNomad," "we," "us"). By installing or using Pyre, signing up for Pyre Pro, or executing a Pyre Enterprise agreement, you accept these Terms.
1. The product
Pyre is a multi-agent AI runtime for local intelligence. It comes in three tiers:
- Pyre Core— open-source local runtime, source-available under the Business Source License 1.1 ("BSL"), free for personal and internal business use. See LICENSE for the authoritative license text. Core auto-converts to the Apache License 2.0 on May 10, 2030.
- Pyre Pro — paid subscription that adds cross-device sync, always-on background agents, end-to-end encrypted backups, and the curated plugin and skill catalog.
- Pyre Enterprise — annual licensed deployments with on-prem support, SSO/SAML, audit logging, RBAC, and managed company-memory ingestion via Cortex Enterprise. Governed by a separately executed agreement that, where it conflicts with these Terms, controls.
2. Your account
Pyre Core requires no account. To use Pyre Pro you create an account through our authentication provider (currently Clerk) using OAuth or a passkey. You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials, your end-to-end encryption keys, and any API keys you bring for third-party model providers. We will not have access to your encryption keys; if you lose them, encrypted data may be unrecoverable.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Pyre to:
- Violate any applicable law or third-party right.
- Generate or distribute content that is illegal, fraudulent, deceptive, or designed to harass or harm others.
- Interfere with the integrity of the service — for example, attempts to bypass authentication, exhaust shared infrastructure, or circumvent rate limits.
- Reverse-engineer or redistribute non-Core components in violation of the BSL or your Pro/Enterprise license.
- Use the service to develop a product that is materially competitive with Pyre, Engram, Persona, or Cortex while the BSL is in effect.
What you generate with Pyre is yours — these Terms do not claim any ownership over your prompts, outputs, conversations, or personal memory. You are responsible for complying with the terms of any third-party model provider you connect to Pyre.
4. Pyre Pro subscriptions
4.1 Pricing and billing
Pyre Pro is offered at $20 per month or $200 per year, charged in advance through Stripe. Prices are in U.S. dollars and exclude taxes, which we collect where required. Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each term unless you cancel before the renewal date.
4.2 Free trials
We may offer a free trial period from time to time. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your card will be charged for the next billing period. Trial terms will be stated when offered.
4.3 Cancellation and refunds
You may cancel at any time from your account settings or by emailing hello@onenomad.dev. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not pro-rate partial months. We will provide a full refund within 14 days of your initial purchase if you contact us; otherwise refunds are at our discretion and assessed on a case-by-case basis.
4.4 Service availability
Pyre Core runs on your hardware — its availability depends on your machine, not ours. Pyre Pro cloud features are provided on a commercially reasonable best-effort basis during public beta. We may schedule maintenance windows and will attempt to give advance notice. Pyre Enterprise availability commitments (including any SLA) are governed by your written contract.
5. Pyre Enterprise
Pyre Enterprise deployments are governed by a separately negotiated agreement ("Enterprise Agreement") and an associated Data Processing Addendum ("DPA"). Where the Enterprise Agreement or DPA conflicts with these Terms, those documents control for the customer that signed them. Implementation services, support response times, and SLAs are described in the Enterprise Agreement.
6. Third-party providers
Pyre is designed to integrate with third-party model providers and tools (OpenAI, Anthropic, OpenRouter, Ollama, llama.cpp, MLX, LM Studio, MCP servers, and others). When you use these providers through Pyre, your interactions are governed by their terms and privacy policies. OneNomad is not responsible for third-party services, their availability, output quality, or fees you incur with them.
7. Intellectual property
Pyre Core source code is licensed under the BSL 1.1, which auto-converts to Apache 2.0 on May 10, 2030. Trademarks, logos, brand names (Pyre, Engram, Persona, Cortex, OneNomad, and related marks), and product designs remain the property of OneNomad and are not licensed under the BSL. You may not use our marks to suggest endorsement or affiliation without permission.
Pro and Enterprise components beyond the BSL boundary remain proprietary. Your license to use them is the license described in the applicable Pro subscription or Enterprise Agreement.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
Pyre is provided "as is" and "as available." We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the fullest extent allowed by law. AI model output may be inaccurate, biased, or unsafe; you are responsible for reviewing it before relying on it for any consequential decision.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, OneNomad will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, or goodwill arising out of or in connection with your use of Pyre.
Our aggregate liability for direct damages is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or (b) one hundred U.S. dollars (USD $100). Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits; in those jurisdictions, the limits apply to the fullest extent permitted.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold OneNomad harmless from any claim, demand, or expense (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your violation of these Terms, your misuse of the service, or your infringement of any third-party right.
11. Termination
You may stop using Pyre at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms, fail to pay, or use Pyre in a way that creates legal risk for OneNomad or other users. We will give reasonable notice where practical; in serious or urgent cases, suspension may be immediate. On termination, sections that by their nature should survive (IP, disclaimers, liability, governing law) survive.
12. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, USA, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the service will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in North Carolina, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there. Either party may seek injunctive relief in any court of competent jurisdiction to protect intellectual property rights.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the product evolves. Material changes will be announced in-product and on this site at least 14 days before taking effect (sooner if required for security or legal reasons). Continued use of Pyre after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
